Top 5 of 2014 - Uncle Rob!

Another year is coming to a close which means its time for year end lists all over the web to start popping up. This is the third year doing these Top 5 Lists for Maritime Vinyl and they have proven to be quite popular.

These lists are a bit different than others, being that the albums did not have to be released in 2014. These lists are the Top 5 albums that vinyl lovers listened to in 2014.

So lets start this off with Uncle Rob from 105.3 The Fox, this being his 3rd year contributing (thanks Rob):

Uncle Rob:

The top 5 vinyl to visit my turntable in 2014 would probably look something like this…

 5. Tokyo Police Club-Forcefield (2014)…making pop music cool again, VERY cool indeed.

4. Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers-L.A.M.F. (1977) Johnny personifies no-frills rock n roll.

3. The Waterboys-This Is The Sea (1985)…We’ll call this a huge rediscovery.

2. Arctic Monkeys-AM (2013)…these guys have a knack of sucking me in. Love the vibe of this LP.

1. Motherhood-Diamonds & Gold (2013)…because it’s perfect.
